With the EPSON Force Sensor it is possible to detect forces and torque at the end of the robot's arm in X, Y and Z directions. The S250 series Force Sensors use Epson's proprietary piezoelectric quartz sensing technology that was developed specially for robotic applications. The new force sensors are durable and sensitive, allowing them to accurately and consistently sense minimal amounts of force in six directions.
